Squat With Adductor

The squat adductor, is a good exercise for all the muscle of the lower body, especially your adductors and quadriceps.

Stand tall with your feet close together, having your hands down by your sides, at the start of the squat.

stand tall with feet close together lower down taking one leg across your middle line

Smoothly lower yourself downwards, whilst lifting one foot slightly off the floor, then smoothly take the leg across your body, using your adductor muscles rather than swinging the leg.

Aim to hold in the lowered position with your leg across your midline for a brief pause of 2 - 4 seconds, prior to standing upright again, taking the leg back across your body's midline and onto the floor.

You may decide to repeat the same leg (harder) or work alternate legs. Wearing small ankle weights will make this exercise harder.

Stretch and Warm Up before you commence any exercise and aim to finish with some good stretching to let your body and mind recover.
