Straddle Jump

The straddle jump is a very popular circuit or home exercise and great for toning the muscles as well as increasing the heart rate.

START
FINISH
Working over a low secure step box, take your feet from the side of the step box, jumping up on to the box.

Once your feet are together, jump up and out again, taking your feet either side of the step box, in order to straddle it, making sure you avoid lowering on to the step.

For safety reasons, make sure that your step box is no wider than 16 inches.

Use your arms to help you generate an upward lift.

Stretch and Warm Up before you commence any exercise and aim to finish with some good stretching to let your body and mind recover.
