Powerplate vibration training

In the last few years, Powerplate Vibration training has attracted considerable media interest. Originally developed for use by Russian cosmonauts, Powerplate Vibration training is claimed to improve muscle strength, flexibility, range of motion, and bone density, and can also speed the recovery of damaged muscles and tendons.

The principal behind this is based on the human body's natural response to disruptions in stability - training this way stimulates the stretch reflex, which results in rapid and intense muscle contractions 30-50 times per second. The result? Enhanced muscle strength and performance.
